The planning of an art exhibition at home
We begin with a meeting at your home to discuss what you would like to exhibit, pricing the work, deciding which artists or Child at Heart representatives you would like to attend, and setting a mutually convenient date.
At this meeting, we'll also survey the intended space and, using years of expertise, we will design the lighting of the space and calculate the optimum hanging for you. Lighting will very much depend on the artwork being displayed.
Shortly afterwards, your guests will receive a special invitation (created and supplied by Child at Heart) describing the event and containing details of the art they will be viewing.
Opening night at your 'Salon'
On the day of the show (or slightly before) all the pieces will be delivered and the exhibition co-ordinated. The hanging will be done and the lighting put in place transforming your home into an artistic Salon.
During the show itself, the focus of the exhibition will be the art. Selected artists will be on hand to discuss their work and their inspiration with adults and children alike.
Not only that, but as host and 'gallery owner' you will naturally earn a commission on any work sold.
At the end of the evening, we'll carefully remove the pieces and restore the room to normal.
