The art of developing children

Children's imaginations today are subjected to massive over-stimulation. Every day, they are bombarded by visual stimuli on TV, within computer games, over the Internet, in posters... at every turn intended to evoke a reaction - usually commercial.

Now there's the opportunity to stimulate your child with something deeper. Something which will develop their minds, their imaginations, and their appreciation of life.

The art effect

Child at Heart's single aim is to encourage creativity in children, and to encourage them to start thinking about the world around them, all through an appreciation of Art.

Child at Heart is the brainchild of Claire Zambuni. A mother to ten-year old Conor and Fine Art specialist, Claire was seeking out art which she felt would inspire her son. The effect of Art on Conor was astounding, and through this discovery, she has developed Child at Heart, and uncovered a wealth of contemporary artists whose work she believes will engender a love of art for future generations.

Art isn't exclusively for grown-ups

Jellyfish

"Every day I am inspired by the works of fine art with which I engage. I wanted my son Conor to share and enjoy that same feeling of wellbeing. Getting a ten-year old interested in Old Masters would have been impractical if not impossible, so I decided to buy a specially commissioned piece of art for Conor's room. This canvas by Julia Bailey, an abstract of sealife called 'Jellyfish', now hangs in Conor's bedroom." explains Claire.

"It has kick started a new found passion for collecting and understanding art. Conor has since increased his collection to three pieces. His creativity and outlook on the world has soared. I want to share that with everyone. To open up a world of artists to children and their parents. Pieces that can take pride of place in any child's bedroom and really inspire and drive a passion for Art. Pieces that everyone would want to collect."

Art made accessible

The Child at Heart collection incorporates both new and recognised artists, including Donald Hamilton Fraser RA and James Stewart. The collection reflects a variety of influences, styles and mediums with a selection of prices to suit every collector from pocket money to investment portfolio.

To ensure that Child at Heart inspires not just the priviledged few, a percentage of the profits of Child at Heart will go to Arts and Kids, a charity which inspires and educates kids by introducing them to the very best of the arts. Arts and Kids is targeted at children who would not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the arts.

Your child's capacity for curiosity can be astonishing. Child at Heart satisfies that demand for stimulus in the finest and most positive way possible.
